TAC Healthcare Group offers a complete range of private blood tests to help diagnose and monitor a wide range of conditions.
We offer a range of blood tests to determine various conditions. Depending on the test required you can book in to see one of our highly experienced Nurses or Private GPs. You can have a blood test without a referral from your own GP and can request to have your results sent to them or you can arrange to see one of our own Private GPs or specialist Consultants.
A blood test is the best way to determine why you may be feeling unwell. Blood tests help with the diagnosis of many conditions. Blood tests are useful to check on your general health and check that your organs are functionating properly. They can also determine if you have an infection, condition or warn of diseases. You can also find out if you may be at risk of hereditary conditions or heart disease.
It is a relatively quick and painless process to take a blood sample. You will attend a 30 minute appointment with one of our Nurses or GPs, they will explain exactly what is involved and put you at ease throughout your appointment. Some tests may require you to fast prior to the test. Results are usually available within 48 hours, depending on the tests required, some specialised tests may take a bit longer. We will send you the results as soon as they are available.
A test to evaluate the functioning of the liver and if there is any damage or inflammation.
A test checks your GFR, which tells how well your kidneys are filtering.
High TSH suggests your thyroid is underactive and not producing enough thyroid hormone. A low TSH suggests your thyroid is overactive and producing excess thyroid hormone.
A check to monitor your average blood sugar levels and how close they are to normal.
Vitamin and mineral blood tests check the blood to see if there is an excess or deficiency.
There are some Sexually Transmitted Infections which can only be detected with a blood test. In some cases a urine test or a swab test is required to confirm the infection.
